I've been using this for a little bit now and I love it. Figured I'd pass it on here. It's great for creating an account somewhere where you just want a little piece of information and you don't want all the junk email.

i like the E-Mail time capsule!!
![]() http://www.bored.com/emailcapsules/ i use Gmail for spam and unimportant confirmation crap, but for everything else i use AIM, and i rarely get spam. i didnt used to get any until i gave my email out to the wrong site, and now i get maybe 1 a week, but it automatically gets filtered.

i have like 10 gmail addresses that all forward mail to my main email. If one gets too much spam i switch important contacts and sever the account. My main account is given out to only really trustworthy people who i know won't send me crap.

I use my school account for everything important/stuff i actually want, and my gmail account for pretty much everything else. I also have a spam gmail account i use for sketchy looking sites.

well, maybe I am the only one who really sees the benefit in a disposable, untraceable account. I do have 3 gmail accounts and 2 alumni accounts from school that I use for everything else. But, why worry about getting spammed for one piece of documentation.

what the hell do you need an untraceable account for? As for the spam, thats why you just keep an email address that you use for nothing but receiving spam. That way, you'll always have that 'one piece of documentation' in case you ever need it again. Plus, you dont have to bother creating a 10 minute email, because you'll know your spam account off the top of your head.
Its a cool idea, don't get me wrong, I just don't see a whole lot of use for it. |

i have a single gmail i use for everything but school related stuff (naturally, i use my school account for that). the gmail spam filter is solid. i get roughly 750-1000 spam emails a month, and the filter catches all but a few. it's been several months since the last one sneaked through.

We have the worst spam ever, we get about 4-500 spam emails per day, and cant have spam filters on, cause its for a business, so emails that are blocked could potentially be people actually trying to get ahold of us, which makes for a long time checking emails haha
